Hi music fans – there were lots of requests to release “Story of My Life” as a single. On 13th February, 2024 we did just that.
It’s available on Spotify and all the major platforms, and already getting plenty of plays.
The stats via some of these music platforms are amazing.
You can drill down to the smallest details of who is listening. This includes countries, regions and if the ducks are lined up to street level.
You know the age of listeners, the gender, and a whole lot more from the information that has been gathered.
Interestingly enough, you can see how a track suddenly expands in one country as people obviously share with friends etc.
As an example the album American Dream was really successful in Germany and Finland on it’s launch and obviously in the UK.
The original track Last Chance is extremely popular in the USA and other parts of Europe such as Sweden.
There are tracks I have written which are performed by other artists and that is always great fun to watch them perform.
One such track is The Santa Song by Larry Costa which despite it’s holiday theme receives hits every single day and we are now in late February.
It is a strange science this music business but fascinating nonetheless.
And………………….what’s the goal or the purpose you may ask?
Simple, if my efforts bring a little joy into the world and people in some distant land smile and dance then I have achieved my personal goal.
The lesson being everything we create from original thought is subjective for others to like or not as the case may be but the real mantra is…………
A prophet is not without honour except in his own country amongst his own people – and from that we learn that if you don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing at all.
